Claude Code usage tracker for Linux

Token Gauge on Linux is the same local-first meter as the Windows and macOS builds. Claude Code overall limits stay free. Codex, Cursor, Copilot and Antigravity are on the $11.99 lifetime licence, up to three devices, with a 30-day refund.

Install the Fedora RPM

Download tokengauge-fedora-x86_64.rpm. The package is built on Fedora 44 and runs on Fedora 44 and newer, x86_64. It is unsigned and there is no yum repository, so dnf needs --nogpgcheck:

sudo dnf install --nogpgcheck ./tokengauge-fedora-x86_64.rpm

Launch Token Gauge from the app grid. It opens as a normal decorated window. A tray icon appears when the desktop has a StatusNotifier (AppIndicator) host; on GNOME that needs the AppIndicator extension, and the window works without it. Your licence key is stored in the desktop Secret Service (gnome-keyring on Fedora Workstation).

Updates and other distros

There is no in-app updater on Linux and no “Check for Updates” item. To update, download the newer RPM and install it the same way; dnf upgrades the package in place. There is no Ubuntu package: no .deb, no AppImage, no Flatpak.

What you see

Claude Code, Codex and Cursor show a usage percentage where the provider exposes one. Copilot shows GitHub's own monthly-credits percentage when that meter is available, otherwise real consumption and no invented percentage. Antigravity shows token counts from legacy Gemini CLI logs; current agy log support is still in the works, and Google exposes no usage percentage. The limits page lists the source for each reading.

No account. No telemetry. The app reads usage on the machine. Your code and prompts are not uploaded. It does not raise a limit or change what you pay a provider.

Straight answers

Does Token Gauge run on Linux?

Yes. The public release includes tokengauge-fedora-x86_64.rpm for Fedora 44 and newer on x86_64. One $11.99 licence covers Linux, Windows and macOS.

How do updates work on Fedora?

Install a newer RPM the same way. The published Linux package has no in-app updater; dnf upgrades the package in place.

How do I install the Fedora package?

Download tokengauge-fedora-x86_64.rpm from GitHub Releases and run sudo dnf install --nogpgcheck ./tokengauge-fedora-x86_64.rpm. The package is unsigned, so dnf needs --nogpgcheck. Launch Token Gauge from the app grid.

Is there an Ubuntu package?

No. Linux is a Fedora RPM only. There is no .deb, AppImage, or Flatpak.

What does the Linux app show?

The same readings as the other builds: Claude Code, Codex and Cursor percentages where those providers expose them, Copilot's GitHub-reported meter when it is available, and Antigravity token counts. The published package opens as a normal window and shows a tray icon when a StatusNotifier host is available.
